In the Oakleigh Garden Historic District in Mobile, Alabama, you will find many stately homes built in the late 1800's. It is the area you will find the Oakleigh House Mansion which is Mobile's official antebellum home and museum. Most of the homes in this district are of the Victorian, Greek Revival, Classical Revival, and Bungalow styles. Within this district you also find something else that is special. At first glance it might appear to be out of place, but the locals call it Oakleigh's Town Hall. This place has won so many awards it hard to keep track of them. Callaghan's Irish Social Club is the locals meeting place, but also award winning from the burgers served to the music played. Callaghan's has been named The Best Bar in America by Esquire Magazine, and having the best burger in Alabama by USA Today and the Alabama Cattlemen Association.
